Welcome to Global Evidence Summit 2024
On behalf of our organising partners, I would like to invite you all to join us for the eagerly anticipated 2nd Global Evidence Summit. This is a unique opportunity for our colleagues across the globe to get involved in evidence-based practice, with a shared mission to provide a platform to discuss critical issues across different sectors, including health, education, social justice, the environment and climate change.
The main aim of the summit is to provide a multi-disciplinary and cross-cultural platform, which provides the opportunity for delegates and speakers to exchange ideas about how best to produce, summarise and disseminate evidence to inform policy and practice, and using that evidence to improve people’s lives across the world.
We are delighted to be hosting this event in the historic city of Prague, at the O2 universum, in the heart of this beautiful city from 10-13 September 2024. Please note that Monday 9 September is dedicated to pre-summit meetings.
The members of the Global Organising Committee and the many partnership sub-committees supporting the event have been working hard behind the scenes to ensure we deliver an engaging and important programme for now and for the future around the following themes:
- Sustainable development agenda
- The importance of research integrity making evidence accessible
- Power of synergy in evidence synthesis & synthesis products
- Evidence translation & implementation
- Advocating for greater evidence communication & use of evidence
- Global evidence to local impact
It has been six years since the first event in Cape Town, and as you know, we have been waiting for quite some time to be able to host the second summit, so we really do hope to be able to connect with many of our members, partners and colleagues. See you in Prague!
