Alric Ruether

Dr. Alric Ruether is Head of International Affairs at the Institute for Quality and Efficiency in Health Care (IQWiG) and is Chair of the International Network of Agencies for HTA (INAHTA). He undertook the Study of Human Medicine in Budapest, Munich and Alicante, and has trained in internal medicine and haematology/oncology in Munich and Freiburg, Germany. 

Alric is the founder of the German Agency for Health Technology Assessment (DAHTA) at the German Institute for Medical Documentation and Information (DIMDI) and headed DAHTA  from 2000 to 2007.  He is active in various societies and networks in the field of evidence-based medicine and Health Technology Assessment (HTA), including Network of Evidence Based Medicine (EbM-Netzwerk); German Society for Medical Informatics, Biometry and Epidemiology (GMDS); European Network for HTA (EUnetHTA); and Health Technology Assessment international (HTAi).
