Jitka Klugarová

Dr. Jitka Klugarová, adj. Assoc Prof., currently serves as the deputy head of the Methodological Centre of the National Institute for Quality and Excellence in Healthcare (NIKEZ) located within the Institute of Health Information and Statistics of the Czech Republic. She is co-founder and deputy director of Cochrane Czech Republic, Czech JBI Centre of Excellence, and the Czech GRADE Network. She also holds the esteemed position of Adjunct Associate Professor of Public Health at the University of Adelaide. 

Dr. Klugarová's professional journey is rooted in her background in physiotherapy, biomechanics, and podiatry. Since 2010, she has been deeply committed to advancing evidence-based healthcare (EBHC) practices, implementation science, and the methodology of systematic reviews and clinical practice guidelines. 

With over 15 years of clinical experience in physiotherapy and podiatry, Dr. Klugarová possesses a nuanced understanding of the challenges and opportunities involved in translating research evidence into clinical practice. In 2014, she became one of the few trainers in implementation science worldwide certified by the Joanna Briggs Institute, reflecting her expertise in bridging the gap between research and practice. 

Dr. Klugarová has led numerous international implementation projects, leveraging her expertise to drive meaningful improvements in patient care. She is actively involved in various international methodological groups within leading EBHC organizations, including the GRADE working group and the Joanna Briggs Institute, where she focuses on refining research methodologies and implementing evidence-based practices. 

Jitka Klugarová is dedicated to advancing EBHC practices and promoting collaboration within the global healthcare community.
