If you are running a Satellite event prior to or after the Global Evidence Summit please follow the instructions below.

Satellite events are full-/half-day workshops or symposia that are not part of the four day programme but will be of interest to participants at the Global Evidence Summit. The Satellites should further the event goals, and foster interaction, and the development of partnerships and have broad appeal across sectors. 

The Summit is intended as an inter-sectoral and multi-disciplinary event exchanging ideas about how we best generate, summarize and communicate evidence to inform policy and practice. We anticipate input from a multitude of perspectives including education, social policy and practice, criminal justice, environment, gender, health, health systems and clinical care and practice. 

If you would like to collect a registration fee for your Satellite event, kindly contact Holly Millward at contact@globalevidencesummit.org for tips and advice on how to set this up, this will not be handled by the GES2017 organizers.

Facilitators

Please list the names and affiliations of everyone who will be present at the Summit to facilitate the session. Facilitators must register to attend the Summit and are responsible for their own expenses.

As for contact people, each facilitator must have created an account on the Summit website. This will allow them to access information about the session such as the list of participants.

Please let us know what equipment is required.

Your event logistical arrangements will be supported by the Professional Conference Organizers, Michelle Booth, michelleB@turnersconferences.co.za. To source venues, catering and all necessary equipment for a successful Satellite event.

Approximate costs

Approximate day delegate rates for venues near the CTICC range between R560 – R690 per person, this includes the following:

  • Arrival tea/coffee break on arrival
  • Mid-morning tea/coffee break
  • Mid-afternoon tea/coffee break
  • Lunch

Standard AV equipment, which includes:

  • Data projector & screen
  • Whiteboard with pens
  • Flipchart with pens
  • Pens, paper, water & mints
